Why Being an Active Ally Is Important to Evanston Principal Kelly

Posted by ZS on Jun 11, 2019 1:48:49 PM

Throughout my 19-year career with ZS, I’ve worked in the Evanston office and have been focused on the med tech industry. I’ve held a variety of roles over the years, and at the core of each role is my passion for the people of our firm. I led the Evanston office for several years, acted as the client service lead for a large med tech client and currently serve on our Management Advisory Committee, just to name a few. When I reflect on my career, two accomplishments I’m particularly proud of are leading the formation of our Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) and serving on the advisory board for Pride@ZS, our inclusive LGBTQ and ally community.

As summer came to a close, ZSers in the Evanston office received an interesting email containing a list of 10 exciting activities and an invitation to “choose their own adventure.” On a Friday afternoon, ZSers embarked on their adventures across the Chicagoland area, each led by a ZS principal or associate principal. Thrill-seeking ZSers reached new heights with indoor skydiving, while culinary-inclined ZSers learned how to make Chinese potstickers and master the art of barbecue. Others chose to learn about the city of Chicago through a variety of tours, including beer, crime and architecture tours.

Pet-loving ZSers donated supplies to feed, groom and please local cat and dogs at the Evanston Animal Shelter and The Anti-Cruelty Society in Chicago this winter.

A donation drive, held during February in the Evanston ZS office, collected eight large boxes of cat and dog toys, collars, treats, brushes, shampoo, clothes, pads and other items. The cats and dogs at both nonprofit facilities will be staying nourished with our donation of 18 large bags of cat and dog food.
