Our Women’s Leadership Initiative organized a session designed to create an open and constructive conversation for both genders due to male ZSers expressing interest in taking a more active role in this year’s IWD theme of pressing for progress.
After a brief introduction to the event, attendees were divided into male and female groups to separately talk through case studies that explored different examples of gender bias in the workplace.
At the end of the event, the group came back together to share perspectives and reflect on ways ZSers can be more aware of gender biases in our everyday decisions. A key takeaway was the need to keep the conversation from the group discussions alive throughout the year.
Male and female ZSers plan to continue to press for progress together in 2018!
