When I was at London Business School, I got an invitation for tea and coffee from someone at ZS. I came in with a background in pharmaceuticals and hadn't really considered consulting before. I decided to meet the person and see what they had to say. From that first meeting, it was talking to other ZSers that drew me in—it all sounded great. I loved the idea of helping clients and was keen to work somewhere where I could continue focusing on healthcare.

East Coast interns come together for sun, sand and professional development

It was a fun-packed mid-summer reunion for the ZS interns on the East Coast.

The associate-level interns and their mentors took a day off from busy project work to soak up the sun and enjoy the waves at Point Pleasant, New Jersey. ZSers spent quality time together swimming, playing mini-golf, exploring the boardwalk, and competing in games of cornhole and volleyball. It was a beautiful setting to reconnect with interns across offices and see how much we’ve learned since the beginning of the summer.

ZSers are smart, energetic contributors who come from all walks of life. But even in a group as talented and diverse as ZS, not many people can say they helped design the robotic arm that helps move modules from space shuttles onto the International Space Station.

Carolyn can. She trained as an aerospace engineer in the field of space robotics and used to work for the International Space Station program, designing the controls systems for the Canadarm, a remote-controlled robotic arm.

ZS’s West Coast interns bond over surf, sand and food

While the ZS office in Los Angeles may have been closed for the Fourth of July weekend, it didn’t stop ZS’s West Coast interns from jumping right back into work and some quality time together when it reopened.

The three-day work week started with a session dedicated to improving our presentation and speaking skills. We recorded ourselves so we could visualize our styles. Despite tons of laughter while watching the playback, we all learned valuable techniques and skills from some of the consultants.
