Through our firm-wide ZS Cares program, we encourage our people to harness their passions, apply their unique knowledge and skills and find creative ways to contribute to the greater good. Consultant Victoria, also a member of the Women’s Leadership Initiative, says ZSers in our London office did just that when they seized International Women’s Day as an opportunity to extend our “impact where it matters” tagline beyond our walls. The London office joined ZS offices around the globe to celebrate the day dedicated to women.

International Women’s Day celebrations across our ZS offices continued in Los Angeles where ZSers discovered gender equality knows no age at an event hosted by the Women’s Leadership Initiative group.

After watching an inspirational video about what it means to “be bold for change”—the global theme for this year’s International Women’s Day—and writing postcards to women that have inspired them, ZSers were joined by a representative from Girls on the Run. Bay Area ZSers love to treat each other right

Posted by ZS on Mar 13, 2017 3:05:00 PM

Bay Area ZSers recently took advantage of not one but two occasions to spread a little love and treat each other right, one of the three core values we live by.

In what has become an annual San Francisco tradition, ZSers used February 14 as an opportunity to thank one another for their hard work. This year, over 1,400 “Valentine’s grams” filled with candy and personalized notes circulated both our Bay Area locations!

On March 8, the office also celebrated International Women's Day by partnering with the ZS Women's Leadership Initiative (WLI). The office donated over 200 books to Room to Read, an organization that helps bring education to the next generation of female leaders.

A Surprise Opportunity, A Fulfilling Career for Nisha

Posted by ZS on Mar 1, 2017 1:00:00 PM

Ending up at ZS was a complete surprise for me. I was in grad school completing a degree in chemical engineering, and I had assumed that I would likely end up doing a stint as a postdoctoral researcher and becoming a professor or working in R&D. Then I realized that there were consulting firms coming to campus and looking for people with science, math and engineering backgrounds. I had no idea why they would be interested in those majors, but when I learned more, I understood that they were looking for people who could do complex problem-solving. I was intrigued. I was also drawn by the fact that the time frames for solving the problems were much shorter than in the research world: Instead of taking five years to do something meaningful, I would get to see the impact of my work within weeks or months.
