In 2018, Harshit joined ZS’s Business Operations team in the New Delhi office. While working on operations projects for a number of clients in the European pharmaceutical market, Harshit was exposed to a wide variety of work across forecasting, demand estimation and incentive compensation.
After more than a year honing his ops skills, Harshit found himself interested in expanding his knowledge and exploring spaces within ZS that leveraged advanced data science and analytics platforms. After expressing his interest to his professional development coach and team members, he connected with a staffing partner who helped identify opportunities that would interest him.
“Both my coach and staffing partner were invested in helping supporting me,” Harshit said. “They took the time to guide me and ensure I was making the best decision for myself on an individual level.”
The outcome of the process? An opportunity to “test drive” a new project. Soon, Harshit found himself on a new customer engagement project, focusing on digital promotion channels. “The transition was challenging because the client was completely new to me, as was the nature of the work, but our collaborative culture helped make the ride a little smoother,” he said.
Throughout the process, Harshit says he received mentorship, was provided with opportunities that excited him and, most importantly, was given responsibility for a few deliverables right from the start. “Seeing this level of trust from my new team has instilled an immense amount of confidence in me,” he said.
What surprised Harshit most about his experience “exploring” a new area of ZS’s work with clients was the diversity he experienced. “There are different sub-cultures within our firm, which makes us unique. I’ve also discovered that integrity and inclusion are common across teams and spaces – no matter how different they are.”
Outside of his projects at ZS, Harshit is a movie and music enthusiast and self-proclaimed homebody. He’s also been closely involved in ZS Cares, our firm’s corporate social responsibility program. As part of ZS Cares, Harshit has spent a great deal of time mentoring young students through Neev, a learning center dedicated to providing local underserved youth with learning opportunities in a healthy, stimulating environment.
