As summer came to a close, ZSers in the Evanston office received an interesting email containing a list of 10 exciting activities and an invitation to “choose their own adventure.” On a Friday afternoon, ZSers embarked on their adventures across the Chicagoland area, each led by a ZS principal or associate principal. Thrill-seeking ZSers reached new heights with indoor skydiving, while culinary-inclined ZSers learned how to make Chinese potstickers and master the art of barbecue. Others chose to learn about the city of Chicago through a variety of tours, including beer, crime and architecture tours.
Principal John led ZSers on a beer tour where they tasted their way through the city, sampling midwestern craft brews and enjoying classic Chicago-style deep dish pizza.
It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s a… ZSer? A group of fearless ZSers led by Principal Tobi experienced the power of flight at an indoor skydiving facility. Principal Amy and ZSers learned how to make Chinese potstickers (or jiaozi) and enjoyed sampling the fruits of their labor along Lake Michigan.
ZSers are known for tackling tough problems so it’s no surprise that Principal Mike and a group of ZSers successfully completed not one, but two escape room challenges in record-breaking time.
Executive Director Val joined ZSers as they floated along the Chicago River on a sunny afternoon and learned about the city’s history and architecture by boat.A group of ZSers, led by Principal Bret, got out of the office and into the barbecue pit—learning how to expertly prepare ribs, chicken and pulled pork from an award-winning pitmaster.
Principal Kelly joined ZSers for a “game night out,” where they competed head-to-head in a series of unique games.ZSers with a need for speed joined Associate Principal Jaydeep for an afternoon of go-karting.
At ZS, we make time for bonding, team-building and a little fun. Think these activities are right up your alley? Join us.
