On May 17, ZSers joined people, companies and policy makers in more than 120 countries around the world in celebration of International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia (IDAHOT), an annual event that brings attention to the discrimination and violence LGBTQ people still face, recognizes advancements in LGBTQ equality and promotes human rights for all.
To mark the occasion, [email protected], our LGBTQ- and ally- resource group dedicated to cultivating a supportive and inclusive environment, encouraged ZSers to show their support by wearing pink and hosted events centered on freedom, diversity and acceptance at many of our global offices.
Bay Area ZSers recently took advantage of not one but two occasions to spread a little love and treat each other right, one of the three core values we live by.
In what has become an annual San Francisco tradition, ZSers used February 14 as an opportunity to thank one another for their hard work. This year, over 1,400 “Valentine’s grams” filled with candy and personalized notes circulated both our Bay Area locations!
On March 8, the office also celebrated International Women's Day by partnering with the ZS Women's Leadership Initiative (WLI). The office donated over 200 books to Room to Read, an organization that helps bring education to the next generation of female leaders.
