Chicagoland ZSers satisfy their hunger for adventure

This summer, every Evanston ZSer had the chance to choose their own Chicagoland adventure. Each adventure was led by one of ZS’s principals or associate principals. ZSers formed teams and took part in activities like cooking, hiking, go-karting, painting and sangria-making on a warm afternoon.

Teamwork pays off during the AmaZSing Race

On an early summer afternoon, more than 60 ZSers rushed through downtown Evanston on their quest to win the 2017 AmaZSing Race by solving a series of challenges.

The race kicked off in the kitchen of ZS’s Evanston office with 12 teams grabbing glasses for their first challenge. The teams’ familiarity with LaCroix was tested and each team had to identify which two flavors of eight possible options were mixed together in four cups. Many teams tried multiple times, but only one managed to get all eight flavors correctly named on their first try.

ZSers celebrate sleek, smart new Evanston headquarters

Last winter, ZS said a bittersweet farewell to its first-ever office in Evanston located at 1800 Sherman Avenue. But ZS’s global headquarters didn’t move far. In fact, the new office is located right down the street at One Rotary Center, 1560 Sherman Avenue.

With the move came a sleek new upgrade that brought the office in line with ZS’s “smart space” model—an activity-based work model that combines the latest space-booking software with a more efficient use of physical space to better suit the way consultants work today. The new site features three floors of interactive team rooms, an open office space for easy collaboration between ZSers, kitchens stocked with treats and coffee, plenty of bright aesthetics and installations from local Chicago and Evanston artists.
