Pride@ZS Went Red for World AIDS Day

Pride@ZS, the firm’s LGBTQ and ally resource group, joined people across the world to unite in the fight against HIV, show support for people living with HIV and commemorate those who have passed away from AIDS-related illnesses on World AIDS Day

ZS offices across the United States and Europe provided red ribbons, the universal symbol for awareness, for ZSers to wear. Pride@ZS also encouraged ZSers to wear red to show their support for the annual global health event.

Building Love Walls in New York With Pride@ZS

The New York office’s Pride@ZS group recently met and shared coffee with artist Ranjeet Ahluwalia to discuss his Love Walls, an interactive pop-art project designed to spread love and unity across the world.

Kidding Around With Pride@ZS in New York

In mid-November, the New York City chapter of Pride@ZS, the firm’s LGBTQ and ally resource group, collaborated with ZS Cares to send a group of seven volunteers to the LGBT Center of New York’s “Kidding Around.” The monthly event is a themed craft and play opportunity for children ages 3 to 8 of LGBTQ families, which allows children to have fun while parents network with other families.

Pride@ZS Celebrates Supportive Allies

Pride@ZS is a thriving LGBTQ resource group at our firm—thanks, in part, to the group’s many allies.

ZSers around the globe showed their appreciation by wearing orange and organizing events in celebration of Ally Week, which ran from Sept. 25 to 29. The week, organized by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), encourages students to be allies with the LGBTQ community and stand up against bullying, harassment and name-calling.

While the week is traditionally celebrated across the world in schools, allies are important in the workplace as well. At ZS, the ally community helps foster inclusivity and supports LGBTQ ZSers in bringing their whole selves to work regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.
