Female ZSers in Asia Celebrate International Women’s Day at Annual Leadership Summit

The spirit of female empowerment was in the air in Nepal.

ZS’s annual leadership summit for its Asia region coincided with International Women’s Day (IWD) this year. A total of 30 of ZS’s female principals, associate principals and managers from India and the rest of East Asia gathered for the first-ever breakfast dedicated solely to ZS women to kick off both annual events. The breakfast, organized by the Women’s Leadership Initiative for the Kathmandu-based summit, was part of a global celebration held at ZS offices in honor of IWD.

In celebration of International Women’s Day (IWD), ZS’s London office hosted an interactive evening of dinner and debate designed to challenge perceptions of gender bias.

ZS’s San Diego office joined the firm’s other offices around the world in celebrating International Women’s Day on March 8.

Their International Women’s Day event, organized by the Women’s Leadership Initiative, encouraged ZSers in the office to gather to write postcards commending men and women in their lives who work to #PressforProgress. The theme of this year’s International Women’s Day is intended to motivate and unite friends, colleagues and communities around gender inclusivity.

The Women’s Leadership Initiative in Princeton Fuels Progress for Women

The ZS Women’s Leadership Initiative in Princeton welcomed a large and diverse group to its International Women’s Day event on March 8. At ZS, we continue to fuel progress and make positive gains towards gender parity, which is aligned with this year’s theme of “Press for Progress.”

The event kicked off with a snapshot of how women are currently perceived at our firm. Using feedback from a survey, ZSers mentioned women needing to mimic male leadership styles, that women sometimes struggle for a “voice” and how to not be interrupted during meetings. Some ideas around advancing gender equality in the workplace included establishing key performance indicators and involving males when pressing for progress.
