The Evanston and Chicago Pride@ZS groups teamed up to join the local fight against HIV/AIDS.
Business Operations Consultant Akhilesh and Senior Corporate Communication Associate Tim helped the AIDS Foundation of Chicago (AFC) prepare team packets by organizing T-shirts and bibs for the nonprofit organization’s yearly AIDS Run & Walk Chicago.
This volunteer outing, organized by ZS Cares and Pride@ZS, allowed the ZS initiatives to engage for the first time with the AFC, a local nonprofit organization that has led the fight for HIV prevention and treatment services in Illinois for more than thirty years.
Following the volunteer outing, Pride@ZS members participated in the 2017 AIDS Run & Walk Chicago Oct. 1 at Soldier Field. ZS’s team of LGBTQ and ally ZSers supported the AFC along with 35 other Chicago-area HIV/AIDS organizations by raising awareness for the nonprofit organization along with its HIV/AIDS programs and services and more than $250 to support those living with HIV by participating in the 10K run and 5K run/walk
ZS’s LGBTQ and ally resource group plans to rally around the world to share how the firm makes an impact in the treatment and prevention of HIV/AIDS through work with our clients on the Dec. 1 World AIDS Day.
