Innovative Recruiting Challenges Launch ZS’s First-Ever Global Recruitathon

At ZS, we’ve seen tremendous growth over the past few years. As we grow in numbers, we remain committed to finding the best to join our firm and live the ZS values.

In support of this goal and for the first-time ever, 44 recruiters from our offices in North America, Europe and India came together in Chicago and Pune in late April to participate in the ZS Recruitathon. The challenge was aimed at discovering talent in growing areas like data science, consumer and patient marketing, and big data using new recruiting processes while furthering collaboration among the global team.

Ashley, the firm’s global recruiting director, kicked off the challenge while Jeff, the chief human resources officer, motivated participants to collaborate and determine new approaches to recruiting. Several teams of recruiters competed in challenges focused on smart sourcing, process innovation, hiring strategy, candidate experience and project management.

The first challenge pushed the teams to brainstorm on how to take our existing regional campus strategies up a notch, ensuring an exceptional engagement experience for all future ZSers. The second challenge was focused on innovative sourcing and engagement approaches using people analytics, artificial intelligence, big data and automation for hiring talent in business consulting, operations and technology roles across all geographies.

During the daylong ZS Recruitathon, our talent acquisition team actively sought candidates to fill many different positions currently open at our firm. Roles included a Data Science Manager in Pune, Senior Visual Designer in Pune, Software Engineering Manager in Pune, Decision Analytics Associate Consultant in Pune, Strategy & Architecture Consultant focused on big data in Princeton, Strategy Insights and Planning Consultant focused on market access and pricing in London, Biostatistician in New York and Strategy Insights & Planning Consultant focused on consumer and patient marketing in San Francisco.

The recruiters worked with hiring managers, each other and our team leaders to fill their candidate pools and interview schedules with great talent ready to begin their journeys at ZS.
